27/06/2008 Come and try at Bedlington in aid of Friends of Gallagher Park
"Hello, Hello, Hello, Whats all this then!" Well PC 8121 Claire Bradbury, Bedlington Neighbourhood Police, kindly 'has a go' and helps get the younger members of the public interested in archery by demonstrating her skill with a recurve bow.
Richard shows one of the younger children how to shoot a recurve bow much to their delight.
Keith Dalton, (an active archer and committee member of Green Lane Archers,) requested the archers at Green Lane help promote a worthy cause. Basically the friends of Gallagher Park wanted to make the community aware that the friends of Gallagher Park Management Committee are trying to build a venue at Gallagher Park to hold sporting equipment, changing facilities, with areas for committee meetings, buffets and a kitchen area. A feasibility study will be done in the near future via a consultant to see if this venue can be built within the Gallagher Park area.
